Thing Three
I read the information on RSS. I used the Google reader and subscribed to cnn and wcco.
I intend to go back into Google reader to experience the updating. I can see how it might be addictive.

Thing Two
I enjoyed the Abrams video. He travels a good deal, so I can understand why web 2.0 has become an important part of his life. One need only to spend time with our patrons at the internet terminals to understand that the revolution has already happened for many of them.
Rainie says millions of "young" are creating and sharing content online. Whether or not the content has alot of value--well that's another issue. I believe that librarians will add content that has value. Since we are not likely to be getting the extra staff to create the content, I think we'll need to think about how the time will be found for content creation.

I finally created a blog for the second time. Managed to get my avatar on the blog with Kelli's able assistance, and have been asking for alot of help. Have completed a good part of Thing 2.
Maybe will blog about that on Saturday. That 15 minutes a day is a bunch of hooey. Sorry.
I've been doing this since 3 p.m. It is now 4:19 and well into my lunch break. By the way, I'm
beginning to enjoy this---always dangerous.
